Evolutionary branding

Frank Haveman is a brandstrategist and consultant, his expertise is solving
(international) brand and communication challenges.

For his second book “Sneller naar het merkenparadijs met evolutionary branding” I was asked to create a design for the cover and also come up with a very solid and readable grid and typography for the content.

The cover design is a psychedelic mix
of organic and geometrical shapes.
It draws on the contents of the book, where a lot of theories are connected
to the way we look and interact with brands. It discovers basic consumer needs from the perspective of instinctive drivers of survival. It was part of the
brief to keep the illustration in black
and white.

The book was nominated for the 2009 Marketing Literature award
